    An excellent book for youngsters. This book includes many experiments designed to explain basic concepts. Most of these experiments can be performed using tools available in the average kitchen. The electronic components can be purchased on line or retail outlets. The book avoids higher mathematics, everyday arithmetic is sufficient. Equations are listed in the back for those studying at university. Many of the experiments were discovered in the past by men and women who are now famous, bibliographies are also in this book.The book concludes by explaining how light emitting diodes (LED,S) and transistors function and considering their multiple uses this is a fitting end to a very useful, practical and instructive book.
